Broadcast
With fur and feathers and lots of stags
Cormorants and seals –but sadly no shags
AutumnWatch is back with its usual crescendo
Of excitable Bill and Odd innuendo
We live in hope that with some luck
Simon will show us his prize “Super Buck”
And all the men are thrilled to bits
To get a sight of Kate [...]

I appear to be getting lots of hits on this stunning blog by people in search of a recipe. So here it is:
Pick several pounds of crab apples.
Rose hips and/or sloes (a handful or two is ideal)
Cover with water and boil until all the fruit collapses. Mash down and if you feel more goodness is [...]

I am thinking of upgrading from Major Dickie’s map reading efforts and investing in one of those Sat Nav thingies.
I am hoping the dulcet tones of the Togmeister will be an improvement. But I am concerned
1) Is he going to dither? – I can’t be coping with last minute instructions – I have [...]

How sad to see him leave Strictly come dancing tonight. I didn’t think he deserved to go – there were at least 3 other celebs who should have been out before him!

Despite Tansy’s failure to get an announcement on that Radio Show she sometimes writes to Lord Moor Common had a good day.
He downed his champagne like a seasoned campaigner and took to the Nintendo Mind Gym his offspring presented him – with verve and enthusiasm. Bravo!
His offspring then celebrated in customary fashion by [...]

Hoorah! Today is the 99th Birthday of Tansy’s Dad – Lord Moor Common.
Lord Moor Common is celebrating having clung to the wreckage for another year – by doing his customary 10 minutes on his exercise bike, to be followed by tackling a fiendish Sudoku!
Over the last [...]

Broadcast
BBC Breakfast has surpassed itself this morning!
Today we have the roving reporter standing out in the gloom showing us what an extinguished street light looks like.
All part of their report on Councils turning off lights to save money.
Well done BBC – I am now ‘enlightened’!

Broadcast (but not attributed)
The nation should take note – as dear Raymond said to one of his contestants last week: If an Englishman says he is ‘concerned’ then it means he is in a state of Total Panic!
Didn’t I hear our own Darling Chancellor express his ‘Concern’ over the current [...]

Saturday saw us making cakes for our Sunday “Tea for Tribes” event. Carrot, Almond & Cherry, Lemon Drizzle and a Malt Loaf.
Carrot cake is a brilliant cake for those who have a wheat intolerance as it doesn’t have any flour. Just carrots, almonds, orange peel a dash of brandy and lots [...]

To the tune of Daisy, Daisy Give me your answer do!
Raymond, Raymond What are you going to do?
Take Aways are failing – Everyone’s in stew
It must be somewhat galling
To see their standards falling
And I fear the day – when you Have to say
“ I’m opening up Wiz You”
