Councils to resort to plain English

Broadcast (but unattributed)

It’s all very well and good for the Local Government Association to ban councils from using jargon – such as “Blue sky thinking” and “early wins” – but perhaps they could extend their powers to National Government and Politicians.
We might then be spared any more “Quantitive Easing” (money laundering) – and you never know Politicians might resort to actually answering questions rather than waffling on about “crackdowns” and “rafts of measures” – which for anyone who has ever been on a raft knows is likely to be hazardous and more likely to end up ditching us in the drink!
